I just installed a usb c port on my gba sp paired with an upgraded battery from funny playing. Two questions: Are there any known issues of playing while charging? What is the recommended charger to use paired with a usb-c to usb-a cable? Thanks!
Make sure the charger you are using is the proper voltage to charge the device. If it's too little, it will not take a charge, you may see a little light like you said. The charge cable may not be the problem, it may be the port you are plugging the cable in to. This port is soldered on to the motherboard of the Gameboy, and if it has becomeIt means you need a new battery. Luckily nintendo made it really easy. All you need to do is buy a replacement, you can get cheap ones from amazon that’ll do the trick. Though before you buy the new battery, check the back of your console, you’ll see the battery compartment held in with a phillips screw. What did they do to you? Serious now, if you have a gbaSP you can fit a DS (first model) battery without trimming the shell (need to trim just 2 tiny plastic pieces from the battery), and that is going to give you some more juice to play with. (600mah vs 850 or 950, cant remember) I get around 6 hours on a full battery, sound off and medium
